Hani Nasser starts his career as a Licensed Diamond Dealer in Sierra Leone

1960:

Development of Hani Nasser’s network throughout West and Central Africa

1976:

Hani’s cousin, Abdul Nasser, creates SanaDiam NV in Antwerp, the world diamond centre

1977:

Hani Nasser takes over SanaDiam and grows the company into one of the most important rough diamond traders.

1986-1988:

Fida and Osssama Nasser, Hani’s sons, join the company

1992:

SanaDiam creates strong partnerships in Russia, creation of Rossana and Alsana diamond manufacturing plants.

2001:

SanaDiam turns increasingly to the Antwerp open market to purchase and trade rough diamonds, regularly win significant tenders for top quality rough.

2008:

SanaDiam purchases a rare vivid purplish pink diamond in DRC, transforms it into a 5.06 gemstone of SI1 clarity and through its sister company auctions the stone at Sotheby’s in Geneva for a staggering CHF 2.85 Million.

2009:

With a strong management team in place, SanaDiam prepares for a new phase of expansion.
